A District Attorney
for Our Community
I’m from our community.
I grew up in Lenexa. My parents emigrated from India and taught my younger brother and me that the best way to move forward and to achieve your goals is to work smarter. I attended Holy Spirit Catholic School and graduated from Rockhurst High School before going to Vanderbilt University to earn my bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish.
Because Kansas is my home, I returned to attend law school at the University of Kansas. Now, I’m back in Lenexa with my vizsla, Nash. If I’m not grilling, gardening, or bird watching, I might be watching The West Wing or listening to Serial or New Heights.
I’ve served our community.
Although I started in civil law, I quickly realized I could do more good as a criminal defense attorney. I served as a public defender for two years before opening my own law firm in 2014.
Now, a decade later, I’m a full-time attorney at Roth Davies, a City Prosecutor for the City of Gardner, and a Special Prosecutor for Linn County. I also have the privilege of regularly serving as judge pro tem, an attorney who has been appointed to serve as judge when needed.
My experience working with individuals and families from our community on all sides of the courtroom is what motivated me to run. I know what needs to change for the good of our community.
I’ve been heavily involved in the broader legal community as well, serving as the past President of the Asian American Bar Association of Kansas City and on the Board of the Johnson County Bar Foundation.
I had the honor of serving on the 2021 Johnson County Charter Commission, providing recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on ways to move our county forward.
